Kaitlyn seems to have a creepy person stalking her. I think today we finally promote him to stalker. He was like, a small problem at her old place but ignoring him seemed to work fine. It may have been an accident that when she moved, he moved to the same apartment complex as well. That may have been an accident. However, today the guy searched her and messaged her work email. That is genuinely not fucking okay. The message itself with no nuance, seemed tame, but also, with nuance, its unhinged. The work email is publically availible information. But also reaching out for something non-work related like that is sooooo so so so not okay. He does end the email with something work related but going as far as to use that as a bridge to get to her is so fucking unhinged. I hate this for her. We've discussed actions going forward on how to navigate things and protect her. I hope this doesn't escalate. He's built like a beta so pepperspray could easily disarm him and I will make sure Kaitlyn gets practice/ a plan if things get physical from there. I am kind of nervous and scared for her because there are certain, persistent types of people (mostly guys) who cannot accept no as an answer and their actions may get increasingly desperate and at worse violent. Maybe I'm just catastrophizing.
I once had a stalker. Turns out violence is the answer sometimes. I probably would resort to different actions these days but that's just me. Its been years since I've heard of them.
