Yesterday me and Kaitlyn went to the Wake the Dead coffee shop. We had this horchata coffee thing that was drizzled with carmel and topped with a little baby concha with a skewer stabbing its little baby insides. 👶👶👶 So so so cute! I jotted down a few light sketches in my book. One is a rough idea of how I want Ezekiel from THe Sickos to look and the other was a pretzel. Commander in Cheek, Greg from Cheekface says that anyone who gets a giant pretzel tattoo will get access to their guest list, forever. I asked if I thigh tattoo would work since I've been working out and that canvas seemed sufficently giant. His only response was, "giant is a state of mind." I already have arm tattoo ideas and even chest ideas but I never thought about the legs. I think a pretzel with a bite taken out, dripping with (vegan) cheese sauce would be dope. I was also thinking of having it wrapped in barbwire. I'm so creative. At some point Kaitlyn asked to write something in the book. I allowed her. When she finished she closed it. In the car I was about to open it but she asked I open it later.
This morning I decided to check out what she wrote. I won't type it out. I'm selfish. I only want this for me! But it's something super nice and something I needed. I'm so happy she's in my life.
The coffee shop was having a poetry night. It reminded me of Stef's open mics. I haven't been in so long but I want to respect her space and not distract her. I miss those nights.
Tonight is the movie. It may or may not include a showing of, "It's Such a Beautiful Day." Mentally, I think I'm more prepared for the existential dread.
